Venice was a really odd city. I’ve never been to a city that’s totally surrounded by water, so that was the first thing that made me slightly confused and irritated. I’m a strong believer in public transportation, and having to jump on a rocking boat every time I wanted to eat pizza was, well, not the most thrilling adventure.
But, I managed to survive. I chose an Airbnb on a small island called Murano (take my advice, don’t Airbnb, and don’t stay on Murano) which was 15 minutes away from the main island of San Marco. On this particular day, my best friend Gabe and I traveled to a different island called Burano. I’ve never been to a city as photogenic as this one. Burano is picture perfect: from the classy people, to the colorful and eclectic houses, and the cutest boutiques. We sat on the water and feasted on egg/prosciutto pizza, wandered in and out of airy boutiques, and ended the day with fresh gelato.
Since Venice was unusually hot, I opted for my new Charles Victor dress (the legit comfiest dress in my closet right now) and Frangi Pangi hosiery to keep me warm when the sun began to set. Unlike Manhattan, Venice is super chill and not pretentious: you can easily go to dinner in jeans and sneakers at the classiest restaurant and not get glared at. I wore my Nike kicks with this dress, and nobody looked at me like I had two heads. #WIN!
Maybe I should move to Venice after all.

One of the reasons I went to Europe was because my sister got married in Istanbul, Turkey. I decided to add on a few cities I had been wanting to see at the beginning of the trip, and then I flew from Copenhagen to Istanbul and met the rest of my family there. I’ve never been to a wedding, and definitely not a Turkish wedding. Imagine any wedding you’ve ever been to, x1000. We’re talking more people, bigger dresses, higher heels, cuter boys…haha! Just kidding, but not really. I can’t imagine a regular wedding after having attended this bash. Actually, looking back, it’s kind of scary how intense a Turkish wedding is. My sister spent 8+ hours on her feet in a dress that’s literally bigger than her, her fiancee, and me: combined! That’s true dedication.
On the Friday evening before the wedding, there was a beautiful cocktail reception at a restaurant overlooking the Bosphorus on top of Instanbul. I wore a green Zara dress, and then changed when the group went out afterwards into a more comfortable outfit. The weather wasn’t super warm, and when you’re planning on dancing all night, the first priority is comfort over style. I managed to convince my sister to let me steal half her stunning closet, so I rocked these adorable silver oxford flats for most of the trip. They’re from a Turkish based company called Beyman, which is the Neiman’s of Turkey.
My sister and I fight. A LOT. We’re like two pitbulls who absolutely despise each other yet love each other more than anything at the end of the day. We don’t have much family, and we’ve come to realize that that’s all that matters at the end of the day. Why waste time fighting when life is seriously way too short? Congrats sista, on the next chapter of your life. I can’t wait to be a part of it with you! And I can’t wait to continue stealing your wardrobe!

I’m officially back in America after FOUR weeks abroad! What did I miss most? My Keurig. LOL. Of course, I miss my friends (new and old) who live in Europe, my sister and new brother, the food too…though 4 weeks away is just enough time for me to miss the states just a tad. I wouldn’t have been able to complete this trip without my sponsors like Oiubus and EasyJet, along with all of the hotels that agreed to partner with us.
I got back at 3 AM yesterday after a full 24 hours of travel, and woke up this morning to see myself on the CNN Snapchat Discover page. I’ve been working on a project regarding social media and mental health, that stemmed from my speech at the Talkspace Conference a few weeks ago. I’ve got one major idea, but to accomplish that idea (more details to follow) I knew I had to publish an article first. So during my long bus rides and flights across Europe, I kept writing and writing, spending all of my free time editing and interviewing just about everyone. You can’t truly dive into a topic until you find out what people of all ages are going through, right?
The piece is completed, and I’m working on finding the perfect outlet to publish it…but until then, get a glimpse of what I’m working on today on CNN’s Snapchat Page!!
What a lovely welcome to America!

Cannes was unreal. 4 girls from 4 different cities who grew up together, Kendall Jenner and Magnum ice cream, and France…what else could I possibly want?
Since I’ve been collaborating with Silkstaq for the past few weeks, I ended up meeting with the original Silkstaq photographer (who was also in Cannes for the festival) and managed to stage an impromptu photo shoot on my second night in France. We were invited to the Magnum x Kendall Jenner afterparty, and the night ended up going down a bit different than I was expecting. I have a tendency to try and sneak as many friends into fashion shows/ events as possible whenever I’m invited, but Cannes is super pretentious and exclusive, which made it a tad harder for me to get all of my girls in. When I knew getting everyone in was going to be difficult, I decided to leave the party for a bit and start shooting in the middle of the street before heading back to the party and speaking to the girls with the guest list to explain that I couldn’t have the time of my life minus my best friends. Everyone deserves to go to Cannes Film Festival once in their life, am I right?
My plan worked, and we all managed to get in and dance the night away. Oh, and eat enough Magnum ice cream for the next year. Once the party started to get quiet, we walked across the street to the Intercontinental Hotel and sat at the bar people watching until it was time to head to bed (at 4 AM). I’ve never been so passionate about missing my regular sleep hours until I decided to spend a month in Europe.
Never say never.
See more on the Silkstaq blog too!

The past few days in Cannes have been nothing short of a dream come true. Not once in my life did I imagine I’d be front and center at one of the most pretentious and famous festivals in the world, wearing absolutely unreal clothing, having the time of my life with my best friends. This post was slated to go up on Friday, but I ended up coming down with a really bad cold in Berlin and have been bed bound all weekend. UGH!
Well, I crossed the Cannes dream off of my bucket list! I wasn’t sure what to expect heading to my first film festival in Europe, or film festival in general. Would it be anything like New York Fashion Week, or Paris Fashion Week? Maybe more like a small moving premiere? I had absolutely no clue. Of course, Cannes Film Festival was more like the Golden Globes of Europe, with paparazzi, celebs, and red carpets. For my first (rainy) evening, I decided to rock this rad new Torn by Ronny Kobo dress I picked up at TJ.Maxx before my trip. I found it one size too big, but absolutely fell in love. You know when you put on a dress that makes you feel like a princess?
For me, this stunning white masterpiece did the trick. I tried it on in the dressing room with these new wedges, and immediately felt like I was Blake Lively. Well, not Blake Lively, but Serena Van Der Woodsen.
Hope you’ve been following my trip on social media! Copenhagen, Istanbul and Venice left!

I promise the title of this post has a very specific meaning. After walking out of the gym at my hotel in Brussels on Saturday morning, I fell down the stairs. I guess I was on a “gym” high, and wasn’t paying attention (thank you, iPhone) and fell. Well, I cried, waited 10 minutes while bystanders walked by me and probably thought I was crazy, and then I got up. I then proceeded to wear wedges to a botanical garden with the girls after falling down the stairs, and then I tripped over a bunch of rocks. Fast forward a few hours, I’m sitting in a Brussels hospital wondering why I have such terrible luck. I highly suggest never ending up where absolutely no one speaks English, because that experience traumatized me. And made me stronger?
I ended up spraining my ankle, and was told to not walk for 7 days and use crutches. Well, I’m in Amsterdam now, hobbling around without crutches cause I don’t even play by the rules.
Ever.
However, Amsterdam is the prettiest city I’ve ever been in, even though I’m slightly crippled, I’m going to get on a bike tomorrow and bike around. You can’t let anything get in the way of following your dreams, and biking around Amsterdam has been on my bucket list since I was born!!
That’s what’s so great about life: it’s going to kick you down, and the true survivors are the ones that simply get back up and pretend it never happened.

It’s been 24 hours of fantastic fun here in Paris. After arriving yesterday and going straight from the airport with my Blacklane driver to the Hotel La Lanterne, the girls and I have been busy exploring ever since. My friends have never been to Paris before, and since I’m basically now Parisian since I’ve been here more than two times, I’ve been leading the way around this magical city. I always travel for work (literally) so having a month abroad with no fashion shows or meetings to attend is fantastic yet slightly freaking me out. But fantastic for the most part. I get to wear ugly gym sneakers and eat McDonald’s WHENEVER I want! How many people with careers can say that about their leisure travel? Not many!
We’re in Paris until Friday, which is when we head with Ouibus to Brussles and spend the weekend there. I’m most excited to see Copenhagen and Amsterdam, and my sister in Istanbul because she’s getting married in just a few weeks. She’s a total bridezilla (sorry Mel if you’re reading this, I’m just *honest*) which means I’ve got two more weeks left before she becomes a normal human again. This wedding is about to change their lives! Since I splurged on a few shopping trips before heading abroad, I’ve got some outfits coming up that I just can’t wait for you guys to see…
And yes, the bridezilla thing is totally real. I’m never getting married.
Hope you’re following along via Instagram to see all of my pictures during this crazy surreal month!

I’ve signed my first lease. I’m an official adult. I’ve been signing leases (illegally) since I was 17, but now I’m an adult with the finances to sign leases and write checks. It’s kind of scary. I feel like I was just 15, running around Walmart at midnight, figuring out every way to screw up my life. Those were the good days.
On Thursday, my best friend Kate and I ended up shooting with a rad Boston photographer during the day. I haven’t gotten all of the pictures yet so I’m not saying too much, but just exploring Boston (and screwing up a few harmless things along the way) was fun. Plus, stopping every few steps and taking pictures, laughing, and talking about life and photography was nothing less than sweet. We ended up on top of the Marriott Hotel on the water, overlooking the entire city…I’ve never been on any Boston rooftop like that before. And yes, sneaking onto a hotel rooftop made it even more fun.
I leave for Europe on Monday, so make sure to follow along on Instagram. It’s going to be wild. Three of my best friends, traveling around Europe for two weeks, then splitting up to go our own ways, which is when I’m flying to Istanbul for my sister’s wedding, meeting my other best friend Gabe and my mom there, and then ending up in Venice for a week before flying home.
I almost canceled the trip yesterday due to self-induced stress (I’m always stressed) though I stopped myself, because when other time could I just go away for four weeks, work remotely, and travel, without a care in the world.
P.S. Follow Lindsay Lohan’s account starting now too, cause she’s going to be at my sisters wedding. Casual.
Follow your dreams, kids.

As overrated as trends are, there’s always something every now and then that catches my eye. I’m someone who would rather wear timeless pieces that don’t go out of style. Though now it’s almost June, which means music festivals are the rage, and so is the style girls and guys wear at festivals. You know that breezy, off-duty style where girls definitely spent hours putting the outfit together though they look like they spent 5 minutes?
Yep, welcome to 2016.
A few music festival pieces I highly encourage investing in:
Fringe vest
Sick sneakers (Stan Smith by Adidas)
A cool hat (by Aviate!)
High-waisted shorts
But we’re not just talking about any trend above, I’m trying to make this post about fringe! Suede and fringe are rad pieces, and though they frequently go out of style, they always have a tendency to come back around (and be better than before). Definitely don’t go wearing a full fringe look (fringe heels, dress, and bag are not going to look that cute together) but throwing a fringe piece into your outfit can take it from 0-100.
