I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS PHONE CASE! I went to London earlier this year and randomly picked up a set of stickers for $1. When I came back to America I figured I could buy a cheap case from Amazon and make my own phone case by putting the stickers on the back of the case- I’ve gotten so many comments on this case that I wanted to tell you guys how to make your own, and give one away!
If you DM me on Instagram, I’ll send one lucky winner an iPhone X phone case customized by *yours truly* and you’ll definitely be the only chick or guy on the block with this case. If you want to make your own case, watch the video above!
I’m pumped to have someone whom I’ve followed since the beginning of my career on Fearless Everyday tonight, Nicolette Mason! She founded Premme, a plus-size clothing line that is completely taking over the fashion industry. Listen at 9 PM on Radio Disney, SiriusXM & iHeartRadio!#fearlesseveryday
I’ve been getting a lot of questions on how to listen and where to find Radio Disney. Here’s where to find Radio Disney:
Listen on the Radio Disney app on your phone/iPad/Kindle
Do you know how crucial it is to wake up everyday and see something that inspires you? I’m really inspired by street art. There’s a girl in LA who I follow named Meg Zany, and her street art is unreal. She’s always bringing up relevant issues and topics and translating them into art- it’s incredible.
I’m no artist but I do know that most of us wake up by an alarm set on our phone, which means that the first thing we’re looking at is a screen. Right?
It’s crucial that you wake up and feel inspired. We all have days where we don’t, but for the majority of the time I’d like to think that every single one of you incredible human beings wakes up feeling like they’re totally ready to tackle the day.
I (meaning myself and my genius little design elf Gyovanna) designed 5 screensavers that you can download for free to put on your laptops, cell phones and wherever else you might need a little bit of inspiration. If you love these let me know and we can design more!
Inspirational speaker & advocate Megan Gallagher, @meganwgallagher! I love reading through This is Life Unfiltered submissions from you guys and Megan’s stood out to me- her story is quite unique: after suffering with extreme anxiety and stress, she decided to drop out of college and pursue her passion of giving back to students by inspiring them with her story.
Towards the end of her first year of college, Megan began getting gut feelings about school not being for her, and wanting to find a deeper purpose in life. She tried to ignore them, but soon enough her conscious took over.
She now puts on talks and workshops for teens where she teaches them about mindfulness, loving yourself, and trusting their own intuition. Follow Megan on social media at @meganwgallagher.

There’s something to be said about how hard it is to get out of your comfort zone. So many of us partake in opportunities and jobs that make us feel comfortable because being uncomfortable is a whole lot harder than being comfortable. When I landed the show with Radio Disney and moved out to LA, I really learned the definition of uncomfortable. Going into an office, tracking my hours, even going to events and trying to network with people I have never met became harder when I moved here. The reason I moved to LA from the beginning is because I knew I needed to get out of my comfort zone to progress with my personal life and business life. As an entrepreneur it’s crucial that you learn something new everyday- what you learn in your personal life deeply affects your business life.
Throughout Fearless Everyday and This is Life Unfiltered I say how you don’t have to do something totally nuts everyday to get out of your comfort zone. You can do anything from try a new sport to a new hiking trail to a new food. Not all of you young people have to move out at a young age and pursue a non-traditional career just because I did. You’ll start to learn something new about yourself with every new opportunity you partake in. One of the reasons I’ve become so comfortable with being uncomfortable is because I started realizing how little everyone else’s opinion means- when you’re in middle and high school you’re on this race to impress everyone and everything around you. Your parents, teachers and friends determine your self-worth for the time being. Then you get older and realize that you’re the person who determines your worth. If you’re waking up everyday unhappy, there’s no one to blame besides yourself.
Take your actions and life into account. Pursue projects that make you feel proud and fulfilled. If you find yourself steering away from your ultimate goal then get yourself back on track by doing a little bit of self exploration. “It is a process of dialogue between “what you are” and “what you really want to be” It is a process of self evolution through self investigation. Process of knowing oneself and through that understanding entire existence.”
Realize you have NOTHING to lose. Before I moved to LA I told myself that if it didn’t work out and I didn’t feel fulfilled after living here that I didn’t have to stay. I know that I’m the person who determines my self-worth, not anyone or anything else.
Get back into the swing of things by spending some time engaging in things you used to do that you don’t anymore. I used to run all of the time when I lived on the East Coast but when I moved to LA I stopped running and started going to exercise classes. Then I realized how much I miss running and I’ve gone running a few times over the past few weeks. I already feel like I have a little piece of home in LA with me.
We’re all busy and life gets in the way of many things but you should never lose yourself in the process of finding yourself!
Last week I was lucky to be given a car by Chevrolet to ride around the East Coast in for the week. I say ride around in because I really utilized my time with the Chevrolet Traverse- driving from Connecticut to PA to New Jersey, back to Connecticut…and stopping everywhere in between! I’m not a car person: if I wanted to buy a car I’d buy a Prius or a Mini Cooper. I think you’re either a car person or you’re not. Some people love car shows and expensive cars but I don’t mind either way. I do believe that if young adults can afford to they should drive cars that are on the safer side vs. cars that are older and more likely to break down. One of the reasons I never got a car when I lived at home was because my parents couldn’t afford to give me a car, and before I moved to LA I always lived in cities where having a car wasn’t necessary.
I respect and admire cars that have so many gadgets like the Chevrolet Traverse. When I get in fancy cars I feel like I’m back in high school taking a math test, but instead this is the kind of math test where you easily solve the problem. Like setting up WiFi and Bluetooth seem hard at the beginning but when you set them up you realize how much better driving becomes!
The reason I truly loved driving this car was because of it’s comfort level. My mom has a Nissan Sentra and if I could compare the two cars I’d compare the Nissan to a piece of wood and the Traverse to a fluffy pillow. All of my friends fit in the back of the car because the car has 8 seats altogether: it’s the perfect car for a family or person who travels often. Even when I was driving in it alone I didn’t feel like it was overpowering me: I felt comfortable and safe in this car. I could go on for a decade about the amount of nice additions this car is filled with, like Apple CarPlay, WiFi (yes, this car has WiFi) and heated seats with outlets next to every seat.
I was especially impressed with the reverse camera: when you’re backing out the camera is crystal clear, and you can also get a camera in front of the car and on top of the car for an aerial view if you’re looking for full security.
Overall the Chevrolet Traverse was a blast to drive. My friends and parents loved spending time in the car, and I honestly don’t think my mom would’ve come on the 8 hour trip back and forth from CT to NJ if she didn’t also think the car was comfy enough to take a nap in!
Thank you Chevrolet for arranging this and for selling a car that is a luxury car for half the price.
TONIGHT ON FEARLESS EVERYDAY: the incredible mini mogul Kheris Rogers ofFlexin’ In My Complexion! When Kheris came into the Radio Disney office I couldn’t help but smile throughout the entire interview. Her inner confidence is infectious, and she was nothing but a gem to sit down with and learn from. She started a clothing line to empower young girls around the world to be confident with who they are. Kheris is so young yet her wisdom is changing the world and empowering people to love who they are. I’m her biggest fan!

WOW! What a week this has been. I had an incredible talk at the University of Connecticut (in my hometown) on Tuesday evening before I drove down to Pennsylvania to meet with Drexel University about the summit and then headed directly to a talk at Rutgers. Over the past few days I have met so many talented and inspiring individuals at each school- I learn something new during and after every talk.
Chevrolet gave me their Traverse vehicle to drive around in for the week and I swear that’s the only reason why I’ve managed to make every meeting/talk within a 10-minute grace period. I’ve literally shown up every place I needed to be within 10 minutes of the meeting starting and that’s unusual for me. I’m either 1 hour late (never for Disney or school talks, but frequently during other times in my life) or 1 hour early. I attribute the *perfect timing* this week to my lovely Chevrolet, so thank you Chevrolet for setting this up!
I’m asked many of the same questions during talks: about rejection, my personal life (friends and dating) and how I moved out at 17, spending time in New York City as a starving artist, Boston and now LA- moving out without knowing anyone in either NYC or LA. I sat down today to answer some of the questions I’m asked and hopefully this video will inspire you to get out of your comfort zone and pursue the passions you’ve always dreamt of pursuing!
I’m not going to lie and say it’s been easy living in LA. The first year of me living in LA was incredibly difficult. I battled a lot of inner demons during that first year and now that I’ve surpassed the first year I finally feel like I’m settling in. By demons I mean lack of confidence, major anxiety, frustration, depression…LA is a difficult place to meet people, connect with likeminded individuals and network. But the opportunities in both LA & NYC are unlike any other city and you have to be willing to sacrifice certain things to get certain things in return.
Hope this video gives you a little more insight into my life and my goals!
EPISODE 51: Violetta Komyshan! If you’re not familiar with her, you probably know her boyfriend…Ansel Elgort! I interviewed Ansel’s sister Sophie on This is Life Unfiltered in 2017, and now I had a chance to sit down with Violetta live in NYC at ABC Studios to find out more about her! She’s seriously the sweetest and most talented girl out there, which is refreshing because you never know what someone will be like in person if you’ve only followed them online.
If you had a chance to listen to Violetta on Fearless Everyday on Radio Disney a few weeks ago you probably fell in love with her just like we did- now we’re bringing you the unfiltered, longer episode to TILU! #episode51

If you follow me on social media you know that I’ve been talking a lot about the summit I’m coordinating in partnership with Drexel University! I’ve been receiving some incredible submissions from people who want to speak, and I’m explaining more in further detail on my IGTV today.
“The idea behind Be Fearless Summit stemmed from Alexa Curtis’ experience at many conferences in different cities over the past 5 years: from small city summits to the annual MA Conference for Women, each time she attended the summit or conference she left feeling like the conferences didn’t speak directly to her needs. The difference between the Be Fearless summit and regular women’s conferences is that Be Fearless is targeted to a demographic that is rarely analyzed: young adults and millennials. Though you hear about them in the media all of the time (who do you think is using Tinder & Postmates 99% of the time?) they’re not being assisted in with their future goals. Young people are expected to go to college, graduate and have their s*** together: but do you know how many young people don’t know what they want to do with their lives?”
