Girl Power

18 November 2016

Beauty comes in all forms. Something that continues to frustrate me is when people make comments about my body, or even theirs. For example, I have never been more frustrated than when I’m at the gym with a friend and they say to me “wow, you’re more in shape than I thought you were!” WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? But actually, WHAT DOES THAT MEAN!?!?!??!?!?!?! Because I’m not naturally a size 2, and I have meat on my thighs, you think there’s no way I could actually be in great shape?

Yet I have friends who are naturally a size 0/2, never work out, eat McDonald’s for every other meal, and somehow have abs. You’d never expect them to be in bad shape though, would you?

Moral of the story; the size of your pants truly doesn’t define you as a person. You may exercise hardcore 6 days of the week (like me), eat salad for lunch and a cupcake for dessert everyday, and probably never see abs form. I’ll most likely be a size 6 for the rest of my life. Do I care anymore? No. Just don’t put me down for it.

Love yourself!!
