Between dating apps and Instagram filters, we all just want to fit in. That might mean getting invited to your high school party, or going to Coachella…with your “girl gang” and your Taylor Swift face on. But what about when we find ourselves alone, on a Saturday night, listening to Taylor Swift and wondering why we can’t all be like her?
I find it frustrating that we live in a world where having tons of friends, even if you don’t actually like any of them, is almost a requirement. I was the kid in the corner of the lunch room who was absolutely terrified of talking to anyone else or meeting someone because I didn’t want to be judged. Looking back, I realize how my own insecurities hindered me from so many opportunities. Luckily I had my blog to fall back on, but who do you turn to when you feel like you don’t have anyone to fall back on?
