Eating All Of Charleston

28 July 2017

I’m one of those people who travels and reaches for everything in sight. If that means that I’m going to become cupcakes one day, I’m totally for it. You honestly only live once, and in my opinion, treating yourself should be a huge part of your life mission. I can’t say no to biscuits either. I think it may be because my mom is from Europe…but when I get around flaky biscuits with golden butter and cream- I’m like yessssss. If you’ve never been to London, tea and scones are a huge part of the culture, so I’ve got that buttery love in my blood.

I managed to get in a good sweat everyday in Charleston, which is always the toughest part of traveling. Finding a gym or even some weights can be a workout in itself. I still have so many days where I have a little voice in the back of my head that says “don’t eat that” if I haven’t worked out that day, but learning to love yourself is an uphill battle. When that voice comes in, I try and tell it to get the heck out of my head. If I can’t? That’s okay. Going to the gym is something that always makes me feel better anyway, so I don’t mind getting a workout in everyday. For those of you who have that little voice in your head that never leaves; I suggest talking it out a few times a month. Talk to a friend, a therapist, or even your parents about how you’re battling something deeper than you know, and one day, you’ll realize that those thoughts will disappear for good. You don’t deserve to think you HAVE to go to the gym to eat a cupcake or a burger.
