On June 5th, I’m attending my first music festival. I’ve heard a lot of things about music festivals, but the one that’s always stuck with me is clothing. Girls dress up at Coachella like they’re either going to the Met Ball, or Abu Dhabi for three days, and I’m not expecting this festival to be any different. I’ll also be appearing on Great Day Houston on June 5th to discuss more music festival trends, so expect to be seeing a lot of these earthy and fun inspired trends in the future!

Once June 1st hits on the East Coast, the temperature shoots right up. I’m in Miami at the moment for a few days, and immediately after stepping off of the plane I felt nauseous from the 90 degree weather. Now, imagine that along with 1000s of teenagers raging in a mosh pit. Plan on wearing clothing that 1) is comfortable 2) isn’t heavy on your body. You want to be dancing, not stepping on people with your 7-inch stilettos. I love the idea of a cropped checkered top (Forever 21 and Asos have many) with high-waisted ripped shorts. Plus, high-waisted shorts are good looking on just about every body type. Simple sneakers and cheap sunglasses won’t have you stressed in case your sunnies fall off of your head, or your sneakers end up getting trampled after sticking yourself in the middle of a dance party to your favorite song.
I can’t wait to share more with you next month on Great Day Houston!
