River City Live: Halloween!

28 October 2015

Hello from rainy Jacksonville, FL! I’m excited to be here. I just wrapped up two back to back segments on News4Jax: one on Halloween style, and one on holiday DIY gift baskets.

Halloween is almost here, which means if you haven’t gotten your outfit in order, it’s time to start planning now! I had two rad models from Manikin Models in the segment, and I put them each in a Halloween costume, that can be worn from the office to an after-hours event. Burlington Coat Factory supplied the outfits, and I had a blast picking outfits for two young models who I know are excited to go out on Halloween. I also had one of the models with curly hair put some of CurlKeeper hair product in their hair prior to the segment, which gave her a blown out, party ready look in a matter of time. I’m a HUGE fan of CurlKeeper, even though I don’t have curly hair, it’s a line I highly suggest for all gals with crazy curls. Stay tuned for more about this rad brand on the blog next week!

I also had the girls put some polish by Sugarloom Cosmetics on, which is my new favorite, cruelty-free polish brand. If you think your local nail salon has been putting natural polish on your nails, think again. Sugarloom offers all the colors you could want, and by purchasing your polish from them, you’re supporting a solely women- run business. #FeminismRules

A few of the accessories were supplied by Spirit Halloween, which is one of my top Halloween retailer suggestions for absolutely everything you need! The really dope headpiece on the steampunk outfit is by Sarah Sokol, one of my friends in NYC who creates some of the most unusual and extravagant headpieces. Check her out!

I hope you enjoyed the segment, and stay tuned for an air date of the second segment on holiday gift baskets!
