The World From Above

Primark dress and bag, Naturalizer boots

Spending a weekend in the country is like going from Bermuda to Manhattan. It’s a change. Frequently, a needed getaway, especially after spending most of my time running around different cities like a crazy person. My parents and I decided to drive back from CT to Boston on Saturday to stop at a fall fest out in Boylston, MA. I came across the festival in a local Boston magazine, and was incredibly disappointed to see what the “festival” was. $20 entrance fee and no free apple cider? Are you kidding me!

The only positive thing about stopping here was getting to witness the stunning view. Now, I’d pay $20 for that any day. I was on top of the world for a moment. Plus, I decided to wear this new Primark gem of a dress, which made it’s first appearance out in public on Saturday! It’s one of those pieces you’ll have in your closet for a year and still never know what to wear with it, which is why I brought the dress home to CT with me for the weekend to get my moms advice (and scheme a pair of shoes or two out of her) to wear with the dress. I threw a denim jacket on top, but decided a dress with this much going on needs nothing more than a simple purse and quiet pair of shoes. Even though I felt slightly like a farm girl, I (think) I kinda rocked it…and was totally packing 5 minutes before leaving the house, so didn’t have much of a choice shoe wise. Less is always more, in the case of the printed dress.
