Mixing Prints

19 May 2012

Mmm doesn’t that look so much better than that piece of cake you’re all eating like normal human beings

Old Delia’s shirt, Everly skirt (similar sort of look here), Material Girl sandals, Calico bag (similar here), Vanessa Mooney ring,  Apart Style cardigan (similar here), Zoya “Bevin” nail polish (from my Birchbox)
Wore this out to “brunch” on my moms birthday last weekend. Feasting on a macrobiotic meal (google it, don’t even attempt to try and cook it-trust me) since that was all that was appealing. Originally I wore my black Miu Miu bow tie flats that I wanted to feature SO BAD and show all of you, but then it got cold and they didn’t match once I changed. I love that the colors in the lace top match the ones in the skirt. The lace panels are so feminine and intricate. I can never get rid of this shirt! Mixing patterns can be difficult but stay simple and definitely don’t overdo it. BUT on the other hand, don’t be afraid to take risks!

I am also wearing my new Vanessa Mooney ring that I was sent and absolutely adore. The aztec print is so intricate and addicting to look at!

Enjoy your weekend! I know I am. Barely any homework or studying-love my life!! Until finals…
P.S. Can’t wait till next weekend! Going down to the city for some work and then seeing the Schiaparelli and Prada exhibition! I hear its amaze.
